Mazda kicked off their 3-year official sponsorship of SXSW by tapping our team at WhiteWalls, along with The Visionary Group, to design, build, and fabricate a 2-week plan, which comprised of 4 activations at multiple separate events. We integrated the Mazda aesthetic seamlessly into the SXSW environment through 15’ SXSW Channel letters, aluminum tables with built in chargers, reclaimed bleachers with storage, a Matrix wall, and a 20’x20’x40’ steel skeletal frame wrapped in powder coated sheet metal.
Highlights of the events included a recharge lounge at the Austin Convention Center, a musical block party that turned a Mazda 3 into a musical instrument, and a 40’ x 20’ footprint featuring Forza II Horizon racing sleds. The 4 activations were attended by 12,000+ guests, which resulted in 4,463 registrants for the Mazda shuttle and 2,295 leads generated.
