FAVORITE TYPES OF FABRICATION PROJECTS:
Special events, one-off projects – anytime we get tasked to build something that people don’t think is possible… or if other shops aren’t willing to take on the job – that’s the best. We hold strong and get it done. We “build the dream,” and afterwards everyone’s like “I can’t believe we even did that!”
An extreme sports event – Motocross, Monster Jam, Nascar racing, Baja, or something in that realm. In my opinion, it’s always better when you’re into what you’re building for. You become part of that environment – you fit into that niche.
HOBBIES OUTSIDE THE OFFICE:
Riding motorcycles (all kinds), spending time with my newborn son Jesse, sci-fi movies, camping, and shooting.
THOUGHTS ON WHERE THE FABRICATION INDUSTRY IS HEADED:
You’re always gonna have the need for craftspeople. You can’t automate custom fabrication, especially with the timelines. As a whole, I think the industry is going wherever social media brings it – whatever’s gonna be next. Instagram is the thing now.
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” – Thomas Edison
